In the monograph steps are taken to improve the theoretical and practical tools for the method of effective analysis of the score of the opera. The basis of the study was the analysis of opera performances by Russian directors of the twentieth century: B.A. Pokrovsky, G.A. Ansimov, L.D. Mikhailova. One of the main goals of the monograph was the development of clear definitions for concepts such as idea, supertask, scenic conflict, event and conflict fact, action and plot, semantic mise en scene and others.
